Concern at the possioie muroauotion of fruit fly as a result of the prbposbd admission of Australian stone fruits was expressed at a meeting .of the Hawke's Bay Fruitgrowers' Association. He recalled an oc- ■ cdsion some years ago when it ^as rumbured that fruit fly had a hoia in the Dominion and New Zealdnd was exporting to South Africa. That country was so alarmed that it sent a delegation of scientiSts to New Zeaiand to investigate the mktter.
