BOWLING
4^. A mceting of the Wellington Bowling Centre was held recently when Mr. B. A. Guise represented the Otaki Club and Mr. J. Moffitt (Otaki Railway). Raumati South was represented by Mr. Cox, Waikanae by Mr. J. R. WiUiams and Paekakariki by Mr. W. Gilbert. An apology was received from Mr. Barton Ginger, representative of the Paraparaumu Beach Club. The president (Mr. Hadwin) made feeling reference to a number of bpwlers who had passed away, among the number beiitg Mr. M. Coventry, of the Otaki Cliib. - Mr. W. M. Horton submitted a report in connection with a visit made to some 20 greens, which indicated the majority of the grcens were in good order, whiie several needed attention. Tournaments: — Christmas fours Commencing Thursday, December 26: New Year pairs: commencing. Wednesclay, January 1; open' singies: Commencing Wednesday, January 8; entries close November SO. Veterans' day: Wednesday, January 29; entries close December 31. Easter fours: Good Friday, April 4; entries close Saturday. March 8. Veterans' day will bc held on the Wellington Bowling Club's greens on Wednesday. January 29; entries close on December 31. Champion competitions : — Senior ungles: February 24; pairs, March 3 and 4; fours: Marcli 10 and 11; junior singies: March 17. Entries close on December 31. • The N.Z.B.A. tournament will be held in Wellington commencing on February 4 and entries for this will close on November 9.
