GRATITUDE FOR PARCEL
LETTER FROM GREECE Miss Macdonald, of Te Horo, who forwarded a parcel to Greece per UNRRA has received the following reply: — . "Dear Sender, or my frmnd, Maire Macdonald: I very much appreciate your letter, enclosed in the suit so kindly sent, and which fits me as if made to order. I thank you very much for it, and IT1 have your name always in my heart. I am a twelve-year-old girl, and have two brothcrs, one 16 years of age and thc other seven. With my dear mother and fafcher we. are living in Athens, Greece. You cannot imagine my Joy when I put my hand in the pocket of the siiit and found your note. In response I am sending you a note, first to thank you again and, secondly, to open up correspondence with you, if you so desire. Of course I could not read your note (the English language being foreign), but a friend of mine read it for me. Again, thanking you, and looking upon you as my New Zealand fricnd. My father's name is Frankiskos ' Velly, Sinikiskos Byron, Chriiostomay Smirnis Street, No. 54, Athens, Greece."
