CHILD KILLED NEAR LEVIN
CAR RtJNS OFF KOAD A fatal motor accident occurred about a mile south of the Whirokino bridge, on the Levin-Foxtoli main highway, about five o'clock yesterday afternoon. The victim was an eight-months-old child, The car was being driven to Wellington hy Mr. P. H. Golding, of Wellington. It failed to negotiate a bend, swer-ved oif the road and ran through a fence. The child was thrown out of the car and killed instantaneously. The driver, the child's inother and another passenger escaped injury. The car was badly damaged. Last night an inquest was opened before the district coroner, Mr. J. S. Moir, but it was adjourned after evidence of identification had been taken.
