•li f..,i rrrrr V — STORY OF GESTAPO THREATS Received Thursday, 10.15 a.m. LONDON, Aug. 21. Anthony Frederiek Sebastian Steane, aged 52, film actor, has been committed for trial. He is accused of joining the German Broadcasting Service, with intent to assist the enemy. Steane told the Bow Street Magistrate's Court that he faced a Gestapo threat, not once but several times, that his British wife amj two sons would be thrown into a concentration camp or.prison if he did not do what they asked of him.
