BRITAIN AND FRANCE TO BE INVITED

WELLINGTON, Aug. 16. The New Zealand Rugby Union Council decided at a meeting today to invite' a British team to New Zealand in 1950, and to explore the possibilities of a visit from a French team. •It was decided to ask the Rugby Union in England to hold an international conference on the laws of the game during the Australian visit to England in 1948.
