LEVIN JUNIOR CIRCLE MEETS
The junior circle of the Levin Women's Institute opened their usual monthly meeting recently with the saying of the aspirations. The president (Miss J. Bowden), welcomed all present, after which the secretary read the minutes. There were many varied articles in the competition for the month, which was to make something new from something old. The entries, which were judged by Mrs. Bai, of Weraroa, resulted as follows: M. Powell 1, D. Davies 2, M. Clapeott 3. Best bloom: M. Jnhnson 1, J. Coombes 2, S. Johnson 3. A happy evening was spent in eompetitions and games. Mr. and Mrs. Bai concluded tne evening with several musical items, in which all present joined in. Supper was served by the hostesses, Misses B. Blenkhorn, M. Powell and R. Tabor. The evening came to a close with the singing of the National Anthem. The next meeting will be held on August 20.
