The 20th Century-Fox story of the very merry, musical adventures of four girls who set out to see the world — the hard way — features Kay Francis, Carole Landis, Martha Raye and Mitzi Mayfair, with Jimmy Dorsey and his orchestra, John Harvey, Phil Silvers, and introduces Dick Haymes, radio's sensational unging star. Alice Faye, Betty Grable, Carmen Miranda and George Jessel, who acts as master Df ceremonies, appear as the film's guest stars. _ \ "The Power of "the Whistler," Columbia Pictures' third chiller adapted from radio's famous whodunit series, "The Whistler," whieh is currently starring Richard Dix is the second attraction on Thursday and Friday. Janis Carter, Jeit Donnell, Loren Tindall and Tala Birell are the featured players. It was directed by Lew Landers from the screen play by Aubrey Wisberg. Also showing is "Stratosphere Invaders," chapter four of Spy Smasher serial.
