JUVENILES PARADE
A parade of two-year-olds and unraeed horses was lield at the Hawke's Bay Ilunt nieeting at Hastings on Saturday. Maia interest was eentred in the juveniles and, although they did not appear to 1 >e as forward as in past yoars, there wero some proniising lookmg and well-bred youngsters produced. basily the niost uttraetive was Mr. A. !•'. M. Symes's ehestmit eolt D'l'rvillo by Neptune from La Moderne. Boastnig- pleuly of size and qualitv, he liil out very boldly in his sprint and it will be surprising if he does not niuke a name for hiinself later on. Among the elder horses Portabul, a cdassy looking eolt by Bulandshar from the impoi'tod mare Portadown, took the evo as being a smarl galloper. Portai Iml has been taken along very patiently i and hns eanied a big reputation in private. He may liave his lirst raee at I the Dannevirke llunt meeting' at Hastings next Huturday.
