Tlie Daily Telegraph says this estimate is given by experts after a day of intensive work on the ship. Solicitors acting for the owners, Fnited States Hines, are preparing a salvage claim on behalf of the erew of tlie Ameriean Ranger. Both this claim and that of the erew of the Elizabette will be deeided by the Admiralty ( 'ourt. Divers fonnd about 7000 tons of wheat still lying in the flooded hold and niueh of it was usable only for stock feed. It is estimated 3000 tons of food carried have been lost or damaged.
