PLAY-OFF FOR SECOND ROUND OF SENIOR RUGBY
The second and final round of the Horowhenua senior rugby championship was concluded on Saturday. Athletic and Hui Mai have emerged equal with ten points each, with the result that a play- off will he necessary next week. If Hui Mai can win this game they will then meet Athletic, who won ihe first round, to decide the honours. Shoulcl Athletic beat Hui Mai next week they will then have won the championship. Shannon, who showed great improvement before the second round cominenced, were only one point behind Hui Mai and Athletic. On account of the junior representative match against Manawata, there were no championship games on Saturday, but the third grade competition was advanced a further stage.
