On Wednesday, \ugust 7, the ladies were again on 1 ;he links and a most enjoyable ! afternoon's golf resulted. Scores i vere: Mrs. Higgie 49—7—42. Mrs. j Soon 53—11—42, Mrs. Beech 59— j.5 — 44, Mrs. Higgie winning on the ' count back. ! In the "top dogs" competition | ! ylayed on the same day a very : ! ceeniy-fought game resulted in the , J lolders, Mrs. Lester and Miss L. , ! leech, being defeated two up and ! one to play by Mesdames Robinson ' nd Beecn. j Play on Saturday was curtailed i iwing to the unfavourable weather j vhich made the greens and fairj vays unfit for play. ' On Sunday there was a fair ! attendance of members and a ; itableford competition was held. ! fhe results were:— Ladies: Mrs. "_,ester 24 points, Mrs. Boon 22 j eoints and Mrs. Robinson 19. Men: j r. Boon 29 points, J. Baker 26 j ooints and R. Lester 24 points. i The first round of the ladies' i landicap championship was completed during the week and the following were the results: Mrs. A. Simes lost to Mrs. D. Simes, six and 4; Miss L. Beech lost to Mrs. Lester. 'six and six; Mrs. Bason lost to 'Mrs. Baker. one up; Mrs. Beecli I lost to Mrs. Higgie; six and 5; Mrs. iMcClymont lost to Mrs. Robinson two up; Mrs. Boon won by defauh | from Mrs. Birch.
