Mr. and Mrs. S. Astwood have i returned home after spending a holiday at Waitarere Beach. A letter has been received in 1 Shannon from Miss Dawn Hook, daughter of Mr. Harold Hook, advising that they are stili in ; Johannesberg awaiting a boat for i Australia, where they intend to ! spend a few weeks before coming : to New Zealand. Mr. and Miss Hook had expected to be in New ■ Zealand at the end of this month. , However, it appears that their 1 arrival in this country will be j delayed for some time.
