TRIBUTE TO SERVICE
LATE MR. A. S. MACFARLANE Tribute to the service rendered to the Horowhenua A. and P. Association by the late Mr. A. S. Macfarlane during the period of almost 40 years that he had been a member was paid at a recent meeting of that body's general committee, and deep regret was expressed at his passing. The president (Mr. J. A. Kilsby) said that the late Mr. Macfarlane had always been one of the most enthusiastic and energetic workers in the interests of the association. His passing was deplored by members and he would be greatly mis.sed in the association's affairs. Messrs'. C. E. C. Webb, H. J. Lancaster and R. W. Evans also referred to the deceased gentleman 's' fine work for the- association, after which a motion of sympathy with his relatives was carried by all present standing in silence.
