B.M.A. TO ASSIST SHANNON A letter has been received from the general secretary of the New : Zealand branch of the British Medical Association, stating that |the matter of a resident doctor for ! Shannon had been discussed by the icxecutive committee of the associa- ! tion at a meeting on Thursday, ! when it was decided that every iassistance would be given to place -a medical practitioner in Shannon. ' At the moment the association had three doctors who were enquiring for places where they could ' commence practice, and the associ- : ation had no doubt that if a house 1 was available in Shannon one of ■ these would set up practice in the town in the near future.
