A Catalina left Auckland about midday, and was due in Wellington early this afternoon to assist. Following the negative results in the Palliser Bay area it was the Air Force 's intention to extend the search further to the south-east. Frequent broadcast warni'ngs were. made last niglit aslcing residents on the.coast and ships in- the area to- keep. a lookout.
