BRITAIN STARTS SPENDING LOAN MONEYS
Received Monday, 7.30 p.m. WASHTNGTON, August 5. _ Britain has begun a limited spenaing of part of the 3,750,000,000 doliar loan hut only for essentials such as drie;d eggs, cotton, wheat, other food and motion picture films. Emhassy offlcials disclosed that hign American priees were a factor limiring purehases and orders for coai machinery to modernise Britain 's coileries. These would prohahly he postponed nntil the cost situation was levelled off.
