MOVE TO ELIMINATE VETO

Cuba has requested the eonvocation of a general eonferenee to amend the United Natioiis Oharter by tlie elimination of the Big Power veto and asks that the question be placed on the agenda for the forthooming Assembly, says the New York Times. The move goes further than the Australian proposal that the veto should be discussed with a view to the formulation of a policy outlining the circumstances under the whieh the veto should be eorrectl.v employed.
