TALK TO YOUNG FARMERS
JUNIOR CIIAMBER MOVEMENT At their meeting last evening the Young Farmers' Club listened to a short address by the secretary of the Junior Chamber of Commerce (Mr. G. H. Sorenson) . This address was in support of an invitation, asking the Y.F.C. to appoint one of their number as a board member of the Levin Junior Chamber. In his address, Mr. Sorenson outlined the objects of the Junior Chamber movement, -and its link . up with the New Zealand Junior Chamber. He stressed the fact that the movement was non-party political and non-sectarian, and that the Levin Junior Chamber was most anxious to co-operate with the Y.F.C. , in any avenue where both bodies pursued similar objects, as was evidenced by their allocation of a seat on the board to the Young Farmers' Club. At the conclusion of the address, questions were asked and subsequently the Young Farmers' Club decided to send their president, Mr. Maurice Rolston, as its representative on the board of the Levin Junior Chamber. This link-up between the youth movements of the town and country In this district is believed to be the first in New Zealand, and one which it is hopqd will be of breat benefit to both the parties.
