WOMEN'S INSTITUTES

KIMBERLEY'S MEETING The August meeting of the Kimr berley Women's Institute was held recenrly, Mrs. Dome presiding. Quite a large number of friends and members attended as the weather was fine. Apologies were received from Mesdames L. Griffith, Aitchison and Death. The meeting opened with the singing of the W.l. song and the Aspirations. An invitation was received from the Ohau branch of ohe W.D.F.U.., inviting members to aotend their birthday party on August 8. At the conclusion of the ousiness, Mrs. Evans, who was the deiegate to the W.l. Dominion Conference, gave a comprehensive report for which she was accorded a hearty vote of thanks. Following afternoon tea, which was served by the hostesses, Mesdames Bennmg and J. Griffith, a demonstration on the making of a sand posy was given by Mrs. Evans. The oring-and-buy stall was in cnarge of Mesdames Crowe and Small and aid good business. It was decided that the September meeting take the form of a social afternoon. The meeting closed with the singing of the National Anthem.
