OPIKI WOMEN'S INSTITUTE
-*0* — The Juiy meeting of the Opiki Women 's Institute was held in the school recently and there was a , good attendance of members. Mrs. C. Claridge presided. The roll call I for the day was "A Place I would like to Visit, and Why." A competition held was won by Miss Claridge. Monthly competitions resulted: — Ciuster: Mrs. Aitchison 1, Mrs. Kriven 2. Mrs. Irwin 3. Blocm: Mrs. Aitchison 1, Mrs. Irwin 2, Mrs. Kriven 3. Leeks: Mrs. Irwin 1, Mrs. Wilde 2, Mrs. Kriven 3. Hostesses were Mesdames Irwin, Robinson and Drinkwater. Next month a stall will be held for institute funds, and members j are also asked to bring along scraps of silk material. Competitions will be best bloom, ciuster and three table potatoes, and an iced chocolate cake. Hostesses will be 'Mesdames Gordon. Smith, Aitchison and Miss Croad.
