Armoured cars are patrolling the streets of Asmara after rioting by the Eritreans, who favour the annexation of the country by Ethiopia, says Reuter's Asmara correspondent. . The crowd attacked and damaged Arab-owned houses and shops, and called on Haiie Selassie's representative' with a petition for transmission to the Paris conference, dernandin^ annexation. Five leaders of the demonstration have been arrested and 120 persons have been detained.
