HORN— MORPETH s An dvening wedding took place at • St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church, Levin, on Saturday, July 13, when Peggy Helen, eldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J. G. Horn, "Ypres," Ohau, was married to Warren, only son of Mrs. McDonald, of Whangarei, and the late Mr. R. B. Morpeth, of Kaitaia. The Rev. A. Salmond officiated. The bride, who was escorted by her father, wore a beautiful gown of magnolia lace and taffeta, made with fitting bodice, long fitting sleeves and heart-shaped neckline, finished at the shoulders with two softly falling taffeta bows. A fully flared taffeta skirt, with insets of lace, formed a graceful train. A matching tulle veil was worn with an unusual head-dress, fastened with a top-knot of natural fiowers. She carried a bouquet of lilies, coloured freezias, helebore and maidenhair fern. The bridesmaids were Misses Margaret Schutz (chief ) , Helen Hodge (cousin of the bride) , of Tauranga, and Hazel Mudge, of Ohau. All three were frocked alike in jade green georgette, over matching taffeta, softly gauged bodices and sleeves and very full flared skirts, finished with full bustle backs fastened to the waist with tiny loops and buttons. Their shoulder-length net veils were caught with a top-knot of flowers to match their bouquets, which were of spring flowers of lachanalia. yeiiow freesias, -chrysanthemums and maidenhair fern. The bridegroom was attended by Mr. Neville Langley, of Whangarei, as best man, and the groomsmen were Messrs. Jim Horn and Noel Taylor (uncle of the bride). Messrs. Ian Horn and D. Rippin attended as ushers. Dunng the signing of the register a solo was sung by Roderick Horn. After the ceremony the 130 guests were received at a reception in Messrs. A. L. Williams' Rooms by Mrs. Horn, assisted by Mrs. McDonald. The tables were decorated to match the bridal frocks. Items were given by Sheena and Roderick Horn (Hastings) and Mrs. Parker (Te Awamutu) . Visitors from all parts of the North Island were present. When Mr. and Mrs. Morpeth left for their honeymoon, the bride was wearing a dusky pink ensemble and hat and maroon accessories. They will reside in Kaitaia, North Auckland.
