MR. WILLIAM O'DONNELL
The death occurred on Saturday last, at his residence on the C.D. Farm Road, of Mr. William O'Donnell. Born at Cahir, Tipperary, Ireland 66 years ago, the late Mr. O'Donnell married there and came out to New Zealand in 1911 with his wife. Before removing to Levin he was employed by the Palmerston North Council for many years. About 15 years ago he came to Levin, where he took over a section of the Central Development Farm. Although his interests were mostly corifined to farming, he was greatly interested in sport, particularly rugby football. One of his sons was recently selected to play for the Wellington representative side. * The late Mr. O'Donnell is survived by his widow and five daughters, Eileen, who entered a convent some years ago, Nancy, of Fiji and Maureen and Ceiline, who are residing at home. There are four sons, J. O'Donnell (Palmerston North), P. O'Donnell (Wellington) and P. and W. O'Donnell (Levin) . The funeral was held yesterday morning from St. Andrew's Catholic Church, Levin, the services being conducted by the Rev. Father'Lynch and Monsignor McManus, of Palmerston North. The pallbearers- were Messrs. J. Lyons, G. Gimblett, R. A. Frederikson, S. N. Wright, W. Galloway and R. Bradley. Among the many wreaths received were ones from the Levin Training Centre, the Athletic Football Club, the New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Coy., the Holy Name Society of the Catholic Church* and other organisations. - ' i '
