AUCKLAND, July 29. Power supply cuts in the Auckland Elgctrie Power Boahl's district, have j been lifted for this week. The halrhourly discoimections in residential districts aiul the southern rural area between 4.30 p.m. and 9.30 p.111., and tne cut from 4.. '50 p.m. to 5 p.m. in the 111dustrial areas, have been disc'ontinueu. FoJlowing a meeting of the boarn wliich made the decision late this afternoon, the geueral-manager, Mr. R. 11. | Bartley, said the relief was eontingent ! upon volunlary econoniies beiiig observed by consumers. In spite of tlie slightlv improved Jiydro-electlic eonditions, the boatd wouid lie eompelled lo reinstate cuts if voluntary savings were not made.
