Received Tuesday, 11 'a.m. LONDON, July 29. American intelligeiice officers have revealed that Hitler's deputy, Martin Bofmann, who was believed to be dead, was seen in Munich a week ago, and a house-to-house search is being made for him, says the Associated Press' Nuremburg correspondent. A disgruntled chauffeur, whom Bormann "sacked" after an argument over stolen vehieles, provided counter-intelligence agents with the tip which started the new hunt. An American Army spokesman said the chauffeur, Jakob Glas, informed the Intelligence Corps that he was absolutely certain he had recognised Bormann riding in a motor car. Glas was Bormann's chauffeur for years.
