Wellington Cathedral Film " After a very successful screening at Leviii over the week-end, the National Film Unit's picture, made i to promote the Wellington Cathedral Fund, will screen at the local : theatre 011 Tuesday and Wednesj day of this week. The film depicts, "«\vith excellent photography, how the city of Wellington is growing, and the obvious necessity for a new cathedral. As the film shows so convincingly, the old building is now completely out of harmony with the many fine moder-n structures in and around the city. Some of the scenes of the waterfront, and the view of the city from the liills, are in themselves outstandmg. The film concludes with scenes of a large scale model of the new cathedral, oue by night with lights sliowing in the windows. With well-chosen background music, this scene is particularly , effective. The Mayor of Wellington and the Bishop of Wellington appear in the final stages of the film, to appeal for support for the fund.
