Tliough the men of six soutli coast mines faiied to resuiue, work todav (tespite their leader's direction to do so, the Oentral Jndustrial Autliority decidnd to continue hearing ihe miners' compensation (daims. Throughout New South Wales today, 4000 men are idle at 21 coliieries, ror the loss of 13,000 tons of coal, sweliing the week's loss to 65,000 tons. It is expected that the total loss for the week which has two davs to go, will be the highest tor two years.
