FOOTBALL AND BASKETBALL A triangular inter-school sports tournament was hcid last week at the Opiki School. , The afternoon was spent in football and baskctball competitions between Opiki, Tokomaru and Foxton schools. In the football a combined team from Opiki and Tokomaru was defeated by a . Foxton team, after a very mteresting- •game, by 18 points to 11. In the baskctball section Foxton drew with Opiki 7 — 7, Foxton defeated Tokomaru 7 — 1, Foxton defeated Opiki B 11 — 2, Opiki defeated Tokomaru 11 — 2 and Tokomaru defeated Opiki B 11 — 2.
