Mr. J. Hallam journeyed to Wellington on Monday for ihe purpose of attending the sitting of thc Anglican Syncd now in session. News has been received by Mr. T. Boon, of jthe Mangahao Power Station stair, of liis pending transfer to Lake Coleridge, 78 miles from Christchurch. ' -Mr. J-. • Turner, of the Lake Coleridge Power House staff, has received notice that he is being transferred to the Mangaore Power Station as a fitter-operator. Mr. T. E. Iiarrison left by car on Wednesday for a short visit to Rotorua. Accompanying him were his father, who is on a holiday visit from Oamaru, and Mr. T. Moynihan, East Road. Mr. Harold Thomas, of Opotiki, who resided in Shannon some seven years ago, is the guest (J Mr. and Mrs. R. Roberts, Vogel Street. Mrs. Thomas came down with her husband and will stay in Shannon iuntil after Christmas. Mr. George Radford, who is staying with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. W. Radford, Vance Street, has resigned from the Wellington Central Fire Station in order to go into the grocery business on his own nr»r»nnnt. al, Dnvp Bmifli Islnnd.
