Mrs. George Murrell, who. has been on a visit to Auckland on account of the serious illness oi her sister, Mrs. Butts, returned to Otaki yesterday. Civic Theatre Impiovements The Civic Theacre, nooed for its cleaiiliness and up-to-date appearance, has added imposing boards and mirrors in the foyer. The j boards with the names of pictures | are attractive, and when the whole has been completed witli paims, etc., the theatre will have a very scriking appearance. • . Scout Exhibition One of the mai'il attractions for ! the year will be the exnibition to be held in September in aid of 'the Boy Scout Fund. On the last occasion the event proved most interesting, but on this occasion thero should be even greater interesx. especially as the committee is doing all possible to have additional entries. An endeavour is being made to interest outside organi'sations with a view to them taking part.
