'"Mcct Me in St. Louis," which Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer presents on Friday at the Renown Theatre starring Judy Garland and Margaret O'Brien, is the kind of picture lor which reviewers have trouble fincling enough lauclatory adjectivcs. This technicolour musical has just about everything you could ask for. It's the story of the Smiths of St. Louis, their lives and loves and aches and pains, of the approaching Fair which shapes up the great event of their time. EsLhcr (Miss Garland) Is in love with the new boy next door. Little ; Tootie ( Margaret O'Brien ) "helps" : deliver ice, ministers to her dolls ; and gots into scrapes. Each mem- ! ber of the family, up to sly old i Grampa, has his own ideas ancl ! puts them to work. Then comes Ihe bombshcll. for i Dad's lirm want to transfer him permanently to New York.
