SUCCESS FOR OTAKI HORSES

Two Otaki-trained and owned horses were successful at the recent Taranaki meeting. They are Gold Claim, winner of two hurdle events and Tlie Grand. who won a double on Saturday and a second to Whackie the previous week. Gold Claim, who is a five-year-pld geiding by Whcriko from Awa-

hin, is owned and trained by Mr. H. H. Bills of Otaki Railway. The Grand is an aged geiding by Wheriko from Gold Nymph, and is owned and trained by G. Walton, of Otaki. He showed great promise in winning a nine furlong event from Whackie.
