SOME SHIPS LEAVE AUCKLAND
AUCKLAND, July 17. Although a decision to proeeed i to sea was reached by vote at a special stopwork meeting of the Beamen's Fiiion this niorning, the crews of two Fnion Gompanv 's steamers, Koi'owai aiul Ivainriro, held their vessels in port. The decision of the Auckland Union supports the jiolicy adopted by national lieadquarters of Ihe Union regarding the dispute whicli has arisen over disagreemeut with tlie decision of the Industrial Trilmnal on the qpestion oi' heating and lighting of the crews' quarters. The majority of the crews accepted tlie Auckland Union 's decision and t.ook their vessels to sea this after uoon.
