VIOLENCE IN PALESTINE

Received Thursday, 11.80 a.m. LONDON, July 17. Mr. Creech Jones, in a written answer to a question, stated in the House of Commons that 1998 of the 2675 Jews arrested in Palestine since June 9 were still detained. "There is no question of discontinuing the action against illegal organisations in Palestine," he added, "and any furIther outbreaks of violence will be dealt with with the utmost vigour."
