Due to adver.se weather conditions on Wedne.,day afternoon, the medal round set down for play was cancellcd. However, in _spite of conditions sevi ral of thc keener | members playcd and the best cards nanded in were, inose of Mrs. Baker 54 — 14— 40 :and Mrs. Beech 58—14—44. On Sa.nrday afternoon a hiddcn hole mateli was piaycd. Members !enjoyed good weather for niost rf Ithe afternoon, but later in the day jheavy rain sent players to shelter | spasmodically.. All players were | able to complete Ihe 18 hoies. The winners of the hidden hole C'ti"flbtfitibn "Were: Ladies, Mrs. Lester ! 96 — 30 — 66; men, Mr.' . Lester 88 — 24 '—64. : The ladies' top competition resuited in Mesdames Beech and Boon holding the honours. On Sunday afternoon the weather was again unscttled, but •players enjoycd a good afternoon : on the links. A ladies' medal round ; resuited in a win for Mrs. Lester | with a card of 81 nett. - All men members who have not l yet played the medal round are reminded that all cards must be in before next Sunday. In a very evenly contested game for the "top dogs," the holders, Mesdames Beech and Bason, were defeated by Miss L. Beech ana Mrs. Lester, two up and oue to play. The following is the draw for the ladies' handicap championship. The first round is to be completed by August 3: Mrs. Boon v. Mrs. Birch, Mrs. Baker v. Mrs. Bason, Mrs. Higgie v. Mrs. Beech, Mrs. Robinson v. Mrs. McCiymont, Mrs. D. Simes v. Mrs. A. Simes and Mrs. Lester v. Miss L. Beech. Mrs. Elvines and Miss Simes have a bye.
