HEAVY CATTLE AND SIIEEP ENTRIES The outstanding feature at the L°vin weekly stock sale yesterday was the large yardings of fat sheep and cattle. There was . only a medium entry of dairy stock and store cattle, while store sheep were in short supply. Prices showed a firming tendency for fat sheep and pigs, with fat cattle and dairy stock values remaining on par with recent saies. The following prices were realised: — • Sheep: Light fat ewes, 23s lOd; medium, 26s ld; heavier do., 27s 7d to 28s 4d; light fat wethers, 33s; mehium, 34s ld to 36s 3d; prirtie, 37s lOd; prime heavy, 38s 7d, 38s 10d to 40s 2d; prime b.f, 2-ths., 32s lOd to 33s 7d; light lambs, 24s 4d to 25s 4d; medium, 27s 3d to 29s . lOd; prime, 30s lOd to 31s 7d; store. • wether hoggets, 18s; store b.f. hog- y gets, 18s. Pigs: Light pork, £2 12s to £3; medium, £4, £4 5s to £4 17s Qd; sow to farrow, £4 15s. There were no heavy porkers or baconers. Cattle: Light veal, £3 17s 6d to £4 7s 6d; medium, £5 7s 6d, £5 10s to £5 12s 6d; medium runuers, £6 2s 6d t,o £7 12s 6d; heavy, £7 17s 64 to £8 7s 6d; fat P.A. cows, £9 12s 0d, £10 12s 0d to £11 17s 6d; light ox, £13 12s 6d to £14 7s 6d; heavier do., £15 2s 6d to £17 Us 6d; fat exdairy, £7 2s 6d to £7 17s 64; sprmging heifevs, £U, £13, £13 10s to £14 10s; spriuging cows, £7 10s, £9 to £10.
