Men who assaultecl a young wo'man carrying a baby on an undevground station platform, were beaten ofF'by a soldieT and eivilian, Two men who were beaten up by a gang of ten in Darlinghurst Lane, are both in hospital. In tlie Sydney area there were 44 crimes of violenee in June and so fnr 20 in July.
