SCHOOL SPORT
Yesterday on the Shannon Domahr the Shannon School football team met a team representing the Poroutawhao School. After a very interesting game in which some good football was played, the local team proved the winncrs by 12 points to 6. For Shannon T. McEwan scored tv/o tries and P. Wilkinson scored a try and ktcked a penalty goal. Poroutawhao's points were made up of two penalty goals. The basketball matches wero played at the local school and the Shannon A team defeated Poroutawhao A, while the visitors' A and B teams defeated the local B and C teams rcspectively.
