PLUNKET SOCIETY

MONTHLY MEETING HELD Mrs. C. Wishart (vice-presidentj presided at the monthly meeting oi the Shannon Plunket Society. Others present were Mesdames F. Thurston (secretaryj , F. Edmonds, C. Tremewan, V. Bateman and J. A. Easton. It was decided to have the roof of the Plunket building painted, and those present agreed that red would be the most serviceablc coiour. Following a discussion on the subject of raising funds, the decision was reacned that a Plunket ball be held in September. The visiting nurse reported that there were two new cases for the month of June. The attendance at the rooms was not very good owing to wet weather prevailing on most of the visiting days. Four visits were paid to Shannon during the month and six houses were visited. Twenty-nine babies attended the office, two pre-school children and 29 adults.
