AUCKLAND, July 12. When the motor cvcle he was riding collifled with a power pole on Waterfront. Road this afternoon, a Roval Marino attaclied to the visiting cruiser Euryalus received fatal injuries. Ile was Corporal George Alexander Fairweather, aged 26, whose parents reside in England. The motor cvcle, which was earried on the cruiser, wns bronght ashore to be tested by the Marine. He was riding along Waterfront Road toward Rt. Heliers Bay when the machine collided with a porver pole about a chain past the overbridge leading to Parnell baths. He .received multiple injuries and shock and was taken by ambulance to Auckland Hospital where he died at 7.25 p.m.
