BRITISH ENGINEERS TO REPORT

AUCKLAND, July 12. A report on tlte way to hnprove the liarbonrs at Westport and Greymouth is lo lie prepared for the Government by two Britisli engineers, Messrs E. J. Buekton and A J. Clark, who arrived at Auckland by flying-boat from Syduey. They are senior members of the firni of Rendel Palmer and Tritton, Westminster, London, oue' of England 's oldest and best known firins of consulting engineers. Both Mr. Buekton and Mr. Clark have had wide experience of harbour matters, partieularly those with bars. They will spend a few days in Wellington gaining data and then will go to Greymouth and Westport to conduct their investigations. While on the West Coast they will also inspect Port Elizabetli in connection with the suggestion that it may prove suitable as a site for an alternative harbour.
