STUD SHEEP FOR SOUTH AMERICA
WELLINGTON, July 11. Only the difficulty in arranging suitable shipping is preventing New Zealand stud sheep breedei'k from gaining full advantage of the very aetive market for their stock in South America, according to stock firms in Wellington. However, a second sliipment of stud sheep since the early war years, will be sent to Monte Video on the Samrich which is expected to leave Wellington on July 17. About 120 head are being consigned to Argentine, Uruguay, Chile and Patagonia. Rams and ewes are included in the shipment which has been chosen from leading North and South Island stations. The breeds are C'orriedales, Romneys and Lincolns. Up to 000 guineas have. been paid for some of the offering. The inquiry for stud sheep for all paris of South America is particttlarly strong.
