■Thomas George de Largie Dalton, former Minister for Forests in Tasmania and more recentlv Australian Iligh Commissioner to New Zealand, was eommitted for trial when he appeared in the Hobart Police Court on charges of hribery and corruption. Bail was allowed in £500 with a surety of £500.
