HAMILTON, July 3. "If the construct.ion of a sanatorium in Routlj Auckland is not proceeded with because of the weight of opinion from local bodies against the pu'oposal, the board wi]l have to take some action in erecting subsidiary hospitals to cater for tlie tubereulosis patients in the distriet, " said Mr, J. Price, chairman of tlie Waikato Hospital Board, when making a report on Ihe selection of the site for the proposed sanatorium at Hillcrest. Mr. Price said a committee of experts had travelled between Rotorua and Bombay and had selected tlie Hillcrest site as the most suitable. Mr. A. E. Brvant said that as a lavman he was opposed to the site as being unsuitablc for a sanatorium, but he recognised that the committee of experts who made tlie selection were the most competent to judge. The report was received and it .was decided to advise the protesting local bodies that the site had been the seleefion of experts.
