Straehey announced that he had invited the Eiro Government to send* agricultural experts to Britain to discuss increasing the supplies of meat, eggs and butter from Eire, but he gave a warning that sensational inereases •ould not lie expected. ATr. .StraclJey said that he had agreed to discuss bread rationing witli the bakers, but nothing they eould say was likely to alter the position. Thej^ were in no belter position to give advice about the supply outlook than the ordinary citizen.
