The season was opened on September 29, and while the early part of the year wa^ somewhai marred by wind, the latter months were most enjoyable and bowling was carried on well into the month of May. Several inter-club visite were arranged during the season and the visit to Otaki- to play 101 the Hyams' bowl resulted in oui club reiaining the trophy for a further season. To Mr. Stewart hert again our thanks are due for keeping the greens in crder during tnt playing season, and to Mr Scott as greens superintendent. We • also wish to tnank the croquet sectioi. for a donation of £4 10s, Mr. A. J White as auditor, and all the ladiet v/ho assisted with al'ternoon teas. "The cluo completed the seasoi with a slightly smaller balance thar. usual, but in view of the fact that ii was necessary to purchase a nev motor for the mower and a large: vvater-heater for the kitchen, a.1\ytll as additional maintenance or the No. 2 green, it is felt by thi committee that the position is satisfactory." .
