Person al j The death occurred in Sydney on , Tuesday ol: Mr. Harry Palmer, foi J many years a resident of Otaki, where he was well and favourabiy known. He was an enthusiastic member of the Otaki Bowling Club prior to going to Australia, and there again he continued his intergst in bowling. For some time he had been in indifferent health. The deceased leaves a widow and son, Tack. to mourn their loss. The funeral took place yesterday at Bourke. Meteor Seen in Otaki t Mr. Jack Reid, of Otaki, reports having seen the meteor on Monday, and states that it was going south over the Tararuas at 10.57 a.m. It was blue in colour. Inquest at Otaki An inquest into the death of the late Mr. Taipari Rikihana was held at the courthouse yesterday before Mr. H. Nicolson, J.P., districi coroner. Constable W. Calweli represented the Police Department. Evidence was given by Dr. F. A. H Neate, Mr. D. Rikihana, a brother Raita Rikihana, a daughter, anc Constable Calweli, after which tht coroner returned a verdict that death was due to natural causes.
