MERCHANT NAVY APPEAL
■ ' rt ' SUM> -OF -£87--R ALSED The response by the people of Levin and district to the Merchant Navy street day appeal yesterday, resulted in the sum of £87 5s being collected, and throughout the day che various organisations who sponsored the collection, representing churches, women's ' organisations and representatives of the Junior Chamber of Commerce, were very busy, and found a willing and ready response from the public, who evidently fully realised che wonderful work which the Merchant Navy did during the war. The Mayoress (Mrs. H. B.
