Mrs. Claridge presided over the June meeting of the Opiki Women's Institute. Parcels were packed A«r distributioh in England. The loll call for the day was "Noises I Di.--like." Competitions resulted:— Bloom, Mrs. Kriven 1, Mrs. Irwin 2; cluster, Mrs. Kriven 1, Mrs. Irwin 2; root vegetables (3), Mrs. Kriven 1. The hostesses were Mrs. R. Miers and Misses E. and A. Claridge. I Competitions next month will be ! best bloom, cluster, three leeks and a small boy's shirt made from ari i old shirt. Hostesses will be MesI dames Irwin, Robertson and Drink- ! water.
